Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. Taktcell runs in the browser on desktop and phone. On a phone it can be added to the home screen and opens like an app.
Does every worker need their own login?
Yes, everyone has their own username and password. That way each person sees their own jobs and time is recorded against the right person. The price does not depend on the number of users.
What can a worker change?
A worker sees the schedule, updates the status of their own jobs, adds comments and photos and can report a breakdown. Workers can suggest new jobs, which an admin approves. Admins can change these rules in the settings.
Can I plan night shifts and weekends?
Yes. There are no working-hour limits, and a job can be planned for any hour of any day.
Which languages are available?
English and Latvian. Every user chooses their own language, and their notifications arrive in it.
Can I take my data out?
Yes. Jobs, time records and maintenance can be exported to Excel, and an admin can download a full backup of the database.
Is Taktcell an MRP system?
No. Taktcell plans machine time and people’s work. The Business plan adds simple stock for the materials jobs use, but there are no bills of materials, MRP calculations or purchasing.
Can I move my data in from Excel?
Yes. Machines, users, customers and jobs can be imported from Excel or CSV. Taktcell first shows what it will create and which rows have problems.
Can workers share one tablet?
Yes. A tablet can be set up as a shared device: workers tap their name and enter their PIN, and it signs them out after a short idle time.
